artists - A B C > Catherine Rowe

Catherine works with scraperboard, creating detailed black & white designs (such is the nature of the medium) which are then coloured digitally. Catherine is hugely influenced by late 19th to early 20th century decorative arts including works by the likes of William Morris, Josef Frank and Walter Crane. Catherine's work tends to have a baseline of a traditional and almost formal Victorian style, but has a bit of a playful, vibrant and contemporary edge! Her design Palace Gardens recently won a competition to be a new Liberty print. See more of Catherine's work in our brand section.
